Blog #7: Twitter, Making Websites, & Assitive & Adaptive Technology
I've really enjoyed Twitter so far! As I've shared before, I never used Twitter before this class, so there's definitely been a learning curve, but it's very user friendly. No complaints here! I've been able to access a lot of interesting articles that I wouldn't seen before this assignment, and I think that has been my favorite part of Twitter so far. I also enjoy seeing what professionals in the education field have to say about current events, and Twitter has definitely allowed me to broaden my horizons in that scope.
Twitter, you get a 10/10.
The Web Design assignment we just did in class was a lot of fun! Before this class, I didn't think I would use a website in my classroom, but I think it's a great way for students and parents to access classroom information, especially if something like Canvas isn't provided for that school. It was a little tedious and some of the requirements felt a little unnecessary, but overall, I think my work paid off, and I'm proud of my website! Having the two pages of links wasn't something i was crazy thrilled about, but after giving it some thought, I decided to have a page of resources and a page of links for supplemental reading. In my future page, I may combine it, but it worked well for the requirements of this project.

Assistive and adaptive technology both help disabled learners by improving their functional capabilities. I have personally never known anyone who has used it, but I know integrating it into the classroom can be very difficult. With assistive and adaptive technologies, students who use them may not get the attention they need. However, on the other end, students who do not use it may be ignored and pushed aside for the students who do. Finding a balance in the classroom may prove difficult.
